NAPIZUM

NAPIZUM began as a digital and print art publication to address the gap in platforms showcasing creative talents in the D.C Metro area. With NAPIZUM's six-issue run, an international network of emerging artists connected through collaboration and live events. Our team expanded to creatives across disciplines, producing original content. Hearing from the artists directly, we discover the shared experiences and distinct ideas influencing artists today.  

Approach

Each spread as distinct as the featured artists; designers were encouraged to create individual designs to amplify the artist's message and complement the artwork. A cohesive graphic boldness began to emerge through the issues, with influences from zine design. Following the publication's emphasis on emerging talents, this extended to the team of rising graphic designers that adopted an experimental approach and curiosity to editorial design.
